Farewell to Ms. Prins

On Tuesday, June 2, the Seminole faculty and students will be paying a tribute to Ms. Prins. Students will be allowed to wear the colors of Ms. Prins’ alma mater--the Florida Gators! The PTA is sponsoring this event. Students are asked to wear Orange and Blue. Also, don’t forget to bring a dollar donation to help support the PTA. GO GATORS!

BPOP Meeting

The Bilingual Parent Outreach Program (BPOP) will host a Parent Academy workshop in the Media Center on Thursday, May 7th at 8:30 am. This workshop will focus on Surviving in Hard Economic Times. We encourage all parents to take advantage of this excellent program.

FCAT Writing

Congratulations to all of the fourth grade students and to their dedicated teachers. The fourth grade team posted a 23% gain in the amount of students that scored a 4.0 or higher as compared to the 2007-2008 administration of the assessment. This was the largest gain by any elementary school within the South Central Regional Center. Way to go!
